Chick out this video on how I do it!
This tournament and its material are designed with ten years of professional basketball experience and passion. My goal is to accelerate the learning curve for students with 2 to 3 years of organized basketball experience.
We're not only going to cover the basic fundamentals of how to play the game more efficiently, we're also going to talk about the science of why basketball players do what they do and move the way they do. Your child will better understand what's going to happen on the basketball court before it happens. This will lead to making better decisions and rapid growth; better known as basketball I. Q.
Students are first given an initial assessment to determine the overall knowledge level of the group. Students will then answer fun multiple choice video questions to score points.
To ensure students are grasping the information, we're going to provide answers and explanations to each video question during frequent class discussions. During the discussions, students can ask questions specific to the position they play and receive my professional feedback and tips!

"We want to help parents of young athletes learn more about basketball so they can have a better understanding of what their children are dealing with on the court."
"We want to teach young people sportscasting as a way to develop career goals and better communication skills that will serve them a lifetime. Sportscasting is a fun way to do it!"
"I never thought about it until my son's team lost their coach. I said, "OK, but I need to know a lot more about how to help the kids. Where can I find the tools and resources to really get them going? Is there a type of basketball training available for unexperienced people like myself?" ~ Matt A.
"I really want to develop my skills and get better. It would be great to know more. Are there some drills or plays I could run with friends, or maybe I need to do some weight training." ~ John D.
"I wish I could be more helpful to my child when they're practicing, but my knowledge of the game is limited. Maybe if I understood some strategies or could get some training, then I could help them with some drills. I'd really like to help him develop in the game and grow along with him...That would be POWERFUL!" ~ Janice W. (6th grade parent)
"Maybe if I could learn a little more about this game, I could spend more time with my basketball-loving significant other. But he/she just can't take the time to explain it while the game is on. It's so frustrating, If only I could get some basketball training and understood the game!" ~ Sherry G.
"That has to be the best job in the world, right? They get to talk to the players and coaches, be on the floor and behind the scenes. They're right in the middle of all the fun! And, being on TV has to be fun! I wonder if there's any sportscasting training or classes online I could take." ~Mark G. (Accountant by day, Aspiring sports journalist for the game)
"I would just love to catch a player or coach at half time. It would be so exciting. I have a few burning questions about that first half. I'd love to learn how to interview them with confidence and then see myself on a big TV screen. Ha!" ~ Terry S.
